Boulder:  That's a Wrap: Friday morning we welcomed KBCO listeners to the annual music meeting hosted by Mark Abuzzahab which also brought us an early set by Nettwerk artist SYML.  Lively conversation ensued as we took in previously unheard tunes before heading outside one last time for the Awards Luncheon with a performance by Jobi Riccio.  CONGRATULATIONS to our 2023 JBE SummitFest Awards winners!  You can check out the complete list here.

Boulder, Day 2 Recap: The day opened with us taking in a performance by Ian Flanigan before settling in for our first panel hosted by The Colorado Sound’s Margot Chobanian on re-energizing the audience in this time of fragmentation.  Panelists from all over the format engaged in a spirited conversation about what’s working in driving listener engagement and the possibilities behind why.

Artista and Warner sponsored lunch in the tent where we were treated to performances by Elliot Greer and Brandy Clark, then we moved back inside for a performance from Big Loud Rock recording artist Levi Evans and a conversation hosted by Lenny Diana of WTTS/Indianapolis on rethinking Triple A as it moves into its 4th decade as a format.  From there we moved back outside for the Def Jam Cocktail Party featuring performances from Chiiild and Tyler Cole then it was back up the hill for round two at the Fox.  Kiltro and Pressing Strings entertained from the Hill Stage, and Andy Frasco & The U.N., The Band of Heathens, and Grace Potter left memorable impressions from the Main Stage.  After that, the Late Night Lounge was rocking with Jesse Ahern and The Record Company wrapping up a full day of great music.

The final day is underway, you can follow along with the full schedule of events here.

Boulder: JBE Triple A SummitFest Day One In The Books

The JBE Triple A SummitFest kicked off yesterday afternoon with a performance by New West recording artist Esther Rose followed by the traditional Keynote Interview this year featuring Boulder returnee Lukas Nelson in conversation with Lightning 100’s Dan Buckley.

From there we moved out to the tent for an opening reception with artist Alex Jordan in his duo configuration with Graham Norwood sponsored by Andy Logan Productions, and after the dinner break, we went up the hill for an evening at the Fox Theatre where Yam Haus kicked off the night on the Hill Stage before Jaime Wyatt treated the Main Stage to selections from her upcoming album.  Back outside, SUSTO capped off the Hill Stage for the evening before we settled back inside for a set by local artist Gregory Alan Isakov then onto headliner and Keynote, Lukas Nelson + POTR.  Night Two headliner Grace Potter paired up with Nelson for a spirited “Find Yourself” raising the energy even higher for a strong finish to night one.
